CEO and CSO
Stephen Osborne is the founder, CEO and chief scientific officer of Pastel BioScience. Stephen has worked for 13 years as senior scientist and R&D manager in both biotechnology and diagnostic industries and has acted as a consultant to other companies in these areas. He also has experience in the equity and VC markets working for a number of years as a biotech and healthcare financial analyst at a leading London Stockbroking firm.
Stephen obtained a BSc in Biotechnology from the University of London and a Ph.D in Biochemical Engineering from UCL. His research interests were in the area of aqueous/organic two-phase biocatalytic systems and he has published not only in this area but also in the fields of prokaryotic and eukaryotic recombinant protein expression for use in diagnostic assays and novel assay design.
